"That's a big dog!"

Nearly 350 pounds of fluff delighted North Albany Middle School on March 10.

Chewbacca and Merlin, who are Leonbergers, and Bruno Mars, a Bernese Mountain dog, even donned Dr. Seuss hats for Read Across America Month.

Cathleen Montimurro’s sixth-graders learned about the breeds but also about the important work that therapy dogs do in schools, hospitals, airports and even private homes.
