STEM build hits the road

A student test drives a solar co cart.

The ladies and gentlemen of North Albany Middle School started their engines – their solar engines!

On Wednesday, a project facilitated by our community partner - Flying Classroom - culminated with student engineers testing the road-readiness of their Green Energy Solar Rovers.

After working to convert gas go carts to vehicles that run on sun, the team of sixth through eighth graders practiced “driving” by using a go cart simulator.

After ensuring the vehicle, and the drivers, were road ready, the students put their work to the test and proved their STEM build was a success!
