News

  • Thanks to all who made Thursday's BBQ and Block Party a success! We love welcoming our rising sixth graders to the NAMS family and celebrating our current students!
     
  • Last week NAMS' student muralists traveled to New York City to explore the World Trade Center Mural Project and participated in a workshop with NYC-based artists. Art on the Rise is a community school initiative made possible through the Albany Center Gallery. More pictures and details about the trip can be found here in a May 31 post.
     
  • Is you science-loving girl registered for the City School District of Albany's FREE Summer STEM Camp? Sixth and seventh graders must apply by June 18.
     
  • Attention fall, winter and spring modified sports participants: Please join fellow student athletes, coaches and the Athletic Department to celebrate your seasons on Tuesday, June 17. Transportation will be provided after school from NAMS but parents/guardians should pick up their student athlete at the AHS turf field at 5:30 p.m.
     
  • Help us to best serve you! Please consider taking a few minutes to fill out this community school survey. The deadline to complete it is June 30. Thanks, in advance, for your support!
     
  • Earn money for North Albany Middle School's PTA simply by shopping at Hannaford! The Hannaford Helps Schools program runs through June 7. Shoppers will earn three school dollars for every four participating products purchased. At checkout, customers will receive a printout they can redeem online to donate to NAMS.
     
  • North Albany Middle School families can receive shelf-stable grocery items every Friday. Please register to participate.  Email dsherrod@albany.k12.ny.us or call 518.475.6800 x29190 with with questions.

  • June 26: Last day of classes (full day)
  • June 27: Grade 8 Moving Up Ceremony
  • Aug. 19-21: Transition Camp (NAMS sixth graders in 2025-26)
  • Sept. 4: First day of 2025-26 school year
