A day in the life: Brittany VanPatten’s second grade

Visit our district Facebook page to take a look at a typical day of learning in Brittany VanPatten’s second grade here at Pine Hills Elementary School. 

Students spent the morning of Feb. 28 exploring the world of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math), working in small group activities on force and reactions. The lesson was part of an ongoing series done in partnership with students from The College of Saint Rose. 

After the STEM activity, students moved on to English Language Arts, working on “how-to” pieces in preparation for their upcoming publishing party.
