PHES recognizes contributions and influence of Hispanic culture

From artists and athletes to advocates and astronauts, Hispanic history IS our nation’s history.

Grade five observed Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15-Oct. 15) by researching influential Hispanic leaders and then practiced their public speaking with a presentation of their findings to their peers.

Mikayla Shade kicked off (literally) the period by leading her class in a dance, inspired by the Queen of Latin pop Gloria Estefan’s Conga song and choreography.
