Murdock family 'all in for Albany'

Ta-Sean Murdock reads his book aloud

Our families are THE BEST.

Ta-Sean and Sumiko Murdock of the T.C. Murdock Foundation came to Thomas O’Brien Academy of Science and Technology (TOAST) Thursday bearing 30 brand-new backpacks jam-packed with school supplies.

The Murdock Foundation – which supports efforts that positively affect the lives of youth in their communities – is one of many hats the Murdocks wear. They are parents of TOAST fourth grader Zephaniah and Albany High School junior Gerad. They also are professionals who work the community, and Ta-Sean is an author as well.

After presenting the backpacks to the school, Ta-Sean Murdock visited Kim Nies’ second-grade class and read his book “I Can and I Will,” a book that lets kids know they can be anything they want if they put their mind to it. He then gave a signed copy of his book to each student.

The Murdocks are truly “all in for Albany!”
