Police officers, firefighters, teachers, a UAlbany vice chancellor, athletes and a pastor were among the distinguished guests who visited every TOAST classroom on Friday and read a book.
The guest readers helped top off TOAST’s celebration of “Read Across America Week.” And as a bonus, they chatted with students and answered questions about their different jobs. Check out a Facebook photo album from some of the classroom visits!
In the past five days, TOASTers focused on reading and literacy in a variety of themed days. Besides having guest readers on Friday, staff and students came to school dressed as their favorite book character!
