Elementary Summer Program
The goals of the Elementary Summer Program are to provide summer instruction and intervention in reading and mathematics, and an enhancement of science and social justice concepts for students currently in grades K-5.
In addition to the academic component from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m., the program provides enrichment from 12:30-4:30 p.m. that enhances the academic work through art, music, drama, science, physical activities and technology. Classes will also work with student support staff to continue to develop their social-emotional learning skills.
Students currently in grades K-5 who meet specific academic growth criteria are eligible to apply for the program.
Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance, although we anticipate that most families applying will be able to participate.
In the event that we receive more applications than there are spaces, preference will be given to students identified by building principals based on certain academic factors.
