
Albany High Summer School
Credit Recovery Program
Albany High School Summer School is an accredited program offering secondary level instruction for all students in the City of Albany.
The program is located at Albany High School and participating students are required to attend Monday-Thursday from 8:30 a.m.-12:25 p.m.
This program is open to all students currently in grades 9-12 living within the City of Albany.
Non-district students who reside in the City of Albany wishing to enroll should contact either of the program coordinators, whose contact information is located at the bottom of this page.
Apply to the program
Guidance counselors mailed a failure notification to families on Friday, June 24. The registration form below is available as of June 27, and students will be able to register online until July 1.
For families wishing to register in person, counselors will be available on Tuesday, June 28 and Wednesday, June 29 from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Course availability is subject to change based on budget, enrollment and/ or staffing issues.
Attendance
Students are expected to attend all classes each day while summer school is in session. Students with 3 or more absences are in danger may be dropped from the program.
Regents
Regents will be held Aug. 16 and Aug. 17.
All students who reside in the City of Albany are eligible to take the Regents exams. If you are a non-district student who lives in the city and are interested in taking a Regents exam, please contact any of the program coordinators listed on this page.

Grading
Grades will be pass/fail based on the student's proficiency on 10 high-priority assignments. The criteria is available below for pass/fail classes. Please note, APEX classes will not be pass/fail; students will receive a numerical grade for APEX classes.
Pass
- Students regularly engaged in learning activities and demonstrated proficiency on most assignments.
- Students engaged in learning activities and demonstrated proficiency on some assignments.
Fail
- Students inconsistently engaged in learning activities and demonstrated proficiency on few assignments.
- Students did not not engage in learning activities and did not demonstrate proficiency on any assignments.
Technology
City School District of Albany students will use district-issued Chromebooks.
Non-district students who reside in the City of Albany are responsible for meeting their own technology needs.

Transportation
CDTA passes will be provided to students who meet the standard transportation eligibility requirements. The pass will be activated for the months of July and August. There will be a fee for lost passes.
Meals
Breakfast and lunch will be provided to all onsite students.
