Albany High Summer School
Credit Recovery Program
Albany High School Summer School is an accredited program offering secondary level instruction for all students in the City of Albany.
The program is located at Albany High School and participating students are required to attend Monday-Thursday from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
The program will also be offered in a virtual format.
This program is open to all students currently in grades 9-12 living within the City of Albany.
Students wishing to attend should complete the pre-registration form below. Guidance counselors will then complete the registration process for eligible students.
Non-district students who reside in the City of Albany wishing to enroll should contact either of the program coordinators, whose contact information is located at the bottom of this page.

Students wishing to particpate in the program who have not registered can sign up on Tuesday, July 6 with counselor Jill Lastarza in the Leadership Academy office in the new building.

Course availability is subject to change based on budget, enrollment and/ or staffing issues.
Grades for students will be based on a minimum of 10 high priority assignments. Students in classes on the Apex online platform must earn a minimum of 65 to earn course credit.
Due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19, the New York State Education Department has cancelled the August 2021 Regents exams, meaning students will not be required to complete them in order to graduate.
All in-person City School District of Albany students are reminded to bring their district-issued Chromebooks with them each day.
Non-district students who reside in the City of Albany are responsible for meeting their own technology needs.

All students who attend in person summer school will receive one CDTA pass. The pass will be activated for the months of July and August. There will be a fee for lost passes.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided to all onsite students.
