
Hydroponics Enrichment Program

Our Summer Hydroponics Enrichment Program will provide high school students entering grades 10-12 the opportunity to participate in four weeks of learning experiences related to hydroponic plant growth, both within the classroom and at our new Albany High Freight Farm.
Students will receive a certificate of participation at the end of the program and will be invited to participate in our Freight Farm ribbon cutting event this fall.
The deadline to apply is 9 a.m. on Monday, July 25.
This program is open to any City School District of Albany students entering grades 10-12 in the fall. Students will be selected on a first-come-first-served basis for completed applications, which includes a statement of interest in the program.

Program dates and enrollment
Two sessions of the program will be offered from July 25 through Aug. 11. Both sessions meet two days a week, and will cover the same material. There is a Monday and Wednesday session which meets from 8:30-10:30 a.m., and a Tuesday and Thursday session that meets from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Transportation
Students who qualify for CDTA busing can request that their bus pass be activated for this program.
Meals
Please note that meals are not provided in this program.
