Jump Start Summer Program
Jump Start is a four‐week in-person summer program that helps current pre-K students begin kindergarten ready and excited to learn. The program focuses on building social‐emotional and academic skills through hands‐on, engaging learning experiences. Students will be more comfortable entering school on the first day in September and better prepared for the expectations of the kindergarten curriculum.
The Jump Start Summer Program is open to current City School District of Albany pre-K students who will enter kindergarten in September.
In general, participants are identified by current pre-K staff based on a number of academic and developmental factors. Staff will then contact parents and guardians to recommend their child participate.
If you feel that your child would benefit from this program, and are not contacted by June 2, you may contact the Early Childhood Department at (518) 475-6591 to inquire about possible enrollment.
