Parent University

MTS Virtual Session 2

September 22

7:00 pm - 8:15 pm

This event requires advance registration

This month's Parent University focuses on health issues during COVID-19, with a particular focus on mental health with a series of presentations by More Than Sad, presented by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

More Than Sad has taught over a million students and educators how to be smarter about mental health. This version, created for parents, teaches how to recognize signs of depression and other mental health problems, initiate a conversation about mental health with their child and get help.

The presentation also includes the film "Teen Depression," which is designed to demystify treatment and encourage students who are struggling to seek help (view a trailer of the film).

Once you complete the advance registration process, MTS will contact you 24 hours prior to the event to provide a link to the Zoom session.

This presentation is best suited for families with middle and high school students.
