Code of Conduct comments due May 9

The City School District of Albany is seeking feedback from students, staff and community members as it considers updates to the annual Student Code of Conduct.

By May 9, you can provide your written thoughts, comments and questions two ways:

  • Via U.S. Mail or delivery to the City School District of Albany Pupil Personnel Services Office, Harriet Gibbons Student Services Center, 75 Watervliet Ave., Albany, NY  12206; or
  • Via email to CodeOfConduct@albany.k12.ny.us

Read the 2024-2025 Student Code of Conduct.

Each year the district reexamines and updates the Student Code of Conduct. The code addresses expectations for student behavior and outlines efforts to promote advocacy, character-building and positive conduct. It also defines and identifies interventions and consequences for unacceptable conduct.

Comments received will be shared with the Board of Education Policy Committee when it reviews proposed edits and revisions for the 2025-2026 Student Code of Conduct.

Contact the Pupil Personnel Services Office for more information at (518) 475-6130.
