Sharing cultures

AIC student shows Hoosick student information on his laptop screen

High school students in Xrystya Szyjka’s class at Albany International Center met with a group of Hoosick Falls High School seniors on Wednesday to share stories about culture, country and life.

The Hoosick Falls students are taking AP Human Geography or Advanced Spanish at their school; they shared a “cultural landscape” presentation they made about their geography and traditions.

The AIC students hail from 13 countries and speak more than 10 languages among them. They shared information about their countries of origin, their culture, and their lives based on autobiographical essays they wrote as they improve their reading, writing and speaking skills in English.
