Collaborative mural: find your path

Albany High teacher working on the mural with two students

On Friday, Albany High teachers and staff were invited to participate in a one-of-a-kind professional development session: creating a large-scale collaborative mural celebrating the variety of pathways we provide students at Albany High!

With the support of guiding teachers Kristine Monahan, Debbie Cronin, Ashleigh Johns, Thea Resila, Diana Del Guidice, Theresa Story and David Easton, our Falcons designed and sketched out the mural prior to the professional development session and captured footage of the project in action.

Monahan shared, "With the many amazing pathways our Falcons can choose here, this will serve as visual reminder that all the staff contributing to this mural are helping students pave the way to college, career or trade readiness."

Utilizing arrows to represent the unique pathways students take and incorporating a palette of colors that represent our four academies and career and technical education programming, students and staff members worked side-by-side to create something truly special.
