Grades take different routes to same goal

Grade 3 students share a poem with kindergarten students

We took some creative liberties with our fall ‘One School, One Book’ (OSOB) launch but don’t worry, collaboration is still the #1 priority of this building-wide lesson!

Kindergarten-grade 2 students read Mary Can while grades 3-5 dug in to Simon B. Rhymin.’

And, on Friday, Paula Staples’ class presented their I Can statements - in alignment with the story that reminds reader that they can be anything - to Susannah Sheehan’s third graders who, in return, shared raps and poems - similar to what they read in their assigned book - with their younger peers.

All students received a copy of the OSOB books to take home – happy reading!
