Thursday’s Core Knowledge Block (CKB) in Lauren Devery’s class celebrated the season AND our students’ smarts!
A STEM pumpkin investigation allowed the first graders to compare and contrast the gourds, estimate their weight and then determine actual weight using a scale and also included a fall math craft.
The hands-on activities were a great way to incorporate learning standards into the fun month of October!
