Sign up for modified spring sports beginning April 3

Students in grades 7 and 8 who are enrolled in remote or in-person instruction at North Albany Middle School, Edmund J. O’Neal Middle School of Excellence, William S. Hackett Middle School and Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School are eligible to try out for a modified spring sport in the upcoming 2021 season. The Suburban Council will begin modified spring sports on May 3.

Registration for the following  modified spring sports begins April 3:

  •          baseball
  •          softball
  •          boys’ and girls’ outdoor track
  •          boys’ lacrosse
  •          girls’ lacrosse

Baseball, softball and girls’ lacrosse will play at Myers. Boys’ lacrosse will play at Hackett and track will train at Albany High School. The district will provide a shuttle for in-person students attending classes at one of our four middle schools to the practice location. Student ID cards will be activated for public transportation home following practices.

Sports registration is completed via the online platform Final Forms. Final Forms instructions can be found here (under Current Season Registration and Physicals). Please note that a student's district email can be used.

Student-athletes must provide proof of a current physical (2018-19, 2019-20 or 2020-21) and a physician’s note for medication, if necessary, to try out.

Registration for spring high school sports will begin Monday, March 29. Details - along with start dates for both high school and modified spring sports - will be shared via all district communication channels (SNN, Facebook, Twitter, Messenger, albanyschools.org) once that information is available.
