Important dismissal update

The following is a message from Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School Principal William Rivers:

I believe our new end-of-day procedures are safely expediting dismissal. However, we are making an adjustment in hopes of making departure run even more smoothly.

  • Sixth-grade parents/guardians will now pick up sixth graders only between 2:55-3 p.m.
  • Seventh and eighth grade student picks up will continue to be released to parent/guardians at 3:15 p.m.
  • If a sixth grader has an older sibling at Myers, the sixth grader will wait in the auditorium and will be released with 7/8 students at 3:15 p.m. Earlier pick up cannot be accommodated.
  • Sixth-grade families can elect to keep sixth graders in the auditorium until 3:15 p.m. based on convenience.
