'Fall Walk' with the Vegetable Project

This week’s weather has been perfect to investigate the changes fall brings to our grounds and garden.

On Wednesday, Caroline Busch’s students - led by volunteers with the Vegetable Project - explored outside to see, first hand, what cooler temps and less daily sun does to our fruits, vegetables, plants and trees.

Fall is imperative to nature’s lifecycle as it shifts the focus from top growth to root development which prepares plants for winter dormancy and then spring’s reawakening.
