  • All City School District of Albany schools are closed next week (Feb. 16-20) for Winter Recess.
     
  • Looking for something to do during the break? Our PTA is hosting a Dave and Buster's Fundraiser. Please consider purchasing a Dave and Buster's power card. The PTA will receive 50% of the sales and your card can be used immediately.
     
  • Registration for modified (grades 7-8) spring sports begins Monday, Feb. 23. Details, including links to the required paperwork, can be found here. New in 2026 - modified girls' flag football! Off-season flag football training begins Feb. 21.
     
  • We will dismiss at 12:30 on Wednesday, Feb. 25 to accommodate staff PD. Additional details, including information for student athletes, can be found here.
     
  • Mark your calendars! NAMS' annual Black History Month Celebration is Thursday, Feb. 26 beginning at 5:30 p.m. - join us for this wonderful event!
     
  • We can't wait to celebrate our honor roll recipients on Friday, Feb. 27 at 9 a.m. Please be prepared to show identification and allow time to pass through security - doors will open to parents/guardians at 8:30 a.m. Click here for more information about the district's Raptor digital security system. Please consider signing up to contribute a drink or treat for the student after party. Volunteers - for set up and clean up - are also needed.
     
  • NAMS' College and Career Week is March 9-13 and we are looking for entrepreneurs and trad industry professionals to help make our events a success. If you, or someone you know would be interested in sharing their wisdom with our scholars, please contact Dave Sherrod.
     
  • The City School District of Albany's Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) invites parents and caregivers to participate in the organization's first annual Special Education Family Empowerment Conference on Feb. 28.
     
  • The City School District of Albany would like your input in our annual survey, which has been expanded this year to accept feedback from community members as well as families! The Family and Community Partnership Survey only takes a few minutes to complete, and the feedback you provide will play a vital role in our school improvement efforts.
