NAMS' second annual Multicultural Night will take place next Thursday (May 14) starting at 5:30 p.m. This special event is a wonderful opportunity for our school community to come together and celebrate the diverse cultures, traditions and backgrounds that make us unique. To make this night a success, we are looking for parent volunteers and donations. There are many ways to get involved—you can help organize, contribute food or materials or sharing something meaningful from your culture.If you are interested in supporting this event, please take a moment to fill out this form. Are you ready for Teen Night 3.0? We can't wait! The fun begins at 3 p,m. next Friday (May 15) with a student soccer tournament. Sixty four Junior Falcons are competing and it's sure to be a blast. The game is followed by Teen Night activities - movies, dancing, crafts and gaming - that run until 7 p.m. Please save the date, and join us! The PTA is selling concessions and is also in need of parent volunteers - sign up here.

If your student-athlete is on the modified track team, Albany High School's Booster Club needs your help! Concession stand sign-ups are open for two upcoming modified track meet at AHS on May 21. Even if your child is not on the track team, this is a GREAT way to get involved at Albany High School - the Booster Club supports extra-curriculars from music and theater, sports and clubs, art and JROTC and more! Please note that to sign up for a volunteer slot you do have to make an account but you do not have to become a sponsor.
The Regents exams are right around the corner and we have review sessions available for our scholars! Check out the schedule and register your student for success!
Save the date! Albany High invites all rising 9th graders to a Spring Open House on May 28 from 5:30-7 p.m. Register to attend today!
On Tuesdays through June 23, NAMS will be hosting flag football skills and drills sessions from 6:30-8 p.m. The free program is run by Kidz First and please note that transportation is not provided. Additional details can be found here.
All students are welcome to participate in Saturday School in advance of the New York State exams in April and May. It runs every Saturday, except for during breaks, from 8:30-11:30 a.m. The sessions provide test-taking strategies, make-up work opportunities and core subject support. The assessment schedule can be found here.
Grade 6 Transition Camp is scheduled for the week of August 17 - we can't wait to welcome our soon-to-be sixth graders, the NAMS Class of 2029!

- Thank you to all the parents who donated or volunteered time to make the Q3 Honor Roll a success!
- Our next meeting is May 20 at 5:30 p.m. As always, if you have a topic you want added to the agenda - or a question you'd like discussed - please submit it via this Google Form.
- The Hannaford Helps Schools program runs thourgh May 30 - all shoppers will earn 3 School Dollars for every 4 participating products purchased. At checkout, you will receive a School Dollar printout to be redeemed online via a QR code on the printout. Or, you can give to PTA to redeem. It's that easy! The top 200 schools to raise the most money through School Dollars will each receive a $1000 bonus check!
- The NAMS PTA needs YOU! Please consider joining the PTA executive board for the 2026-27 school year. Nominate yourself, or another member of our community, by emailing acsdnamspta@gmail.com - we can't do what we do without YOU!
- Please continue to save any shopping or dining receipts from Colonie Center for the School Bucks Program. Again, drop off at the NAMS Main Office or contact the PTA to coordinate pick up.
- Another way to earn cash for our school with items you already buy is via the Clynk recycling program (bags available at the Main Office and once filled, we will pick up) or Box Tops. Details on both programs can be found here.
