Important info about virtual Grade 8 Promotion Ceremony

The following message is from Principal David Bernsley:

Dear Families of Excellence,

I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. I am writing to tell you about Edmund J. O’Neal Middle School’s plans to honor eighth-graders with a virtual promotion ceremony on Thursday, June 18 at 11 a.m.

Although there is no stage to cross this year due to COVID-19, the faculty and staff of O’Neal have been working hard to create what we hope will be a memorable virtual sendoff experience for our students.

Families can access the pre-recorded promotion video by clicking on the promotion link at albanyschools.org/oneal or visiting Facebook@OnealCSDA. You also can find the link in your child’s individual teacher Google classrooms.

In addition to the video presentation, O’Neal faculty and staff will be visiting the homes of all O’Neal graduates following the conclusion of the online ceremony to personally present them with their certificate and other surprise items. Please be on the lookout for us!
