Student uses magnifying glass to examine inside of pumpkin

The day before Halloween is the perfect time to dive into a science lesson about pumpkins, and that’s just what kindergarteners did Wednesday in Tammy Coleman’s class at Roots Academy at West Hill.

Each student used a magnifying glass to examine their own tiny pumpkin inside and out. The class talked about what they observed, smelled and felt, and Coleman recorded their findings.
