Local theater company, theRep, would like City School District of Albany families and educators to know about free virtual programming available to elementary students.

Story Hour is part of theRep’s Neighbors for Neighbors Program (sponsored by MVP Health Care) and offers a series of stories, geared towards young children, that are rich with content on culture and diversity by and about the BIPOC community.

The six-episode series features theRep’s Associate Artist, Barbara Howard. Each hour-long episode contains two stories and there are accompanying and downloadable activities to enhance the student’s experience.

All current episodes can be found here and are available for viewing at any time.

This link takes you to theRep’s Student Matinee page, where you will find the activity guides.

Additionally, theREP will be streaming - free of charge - a reading of the theater's adaptation of Alice in Wonderland from 7 p.m. on Wednesday April 21 through 10 p.m. on Saturday April 24.

Educators and parents/guardians can also register (though not required) which will add them to the theater’s database and will notify them on future Story Hour episodes and Student Matinee offerings.
