It was all about land-animal habitats at Delaware Community School’s STEM Family Night on Thursday!
More than 200 young explorers and their families packed the building for one of our largest STEM Nights yet! Smiles were everywhere as students created, built and discovered – all while showing focus and curiosity.

From building paper bridges sturdy enough to protect the “animals” below, to exploring habitats through VR expeditions, every station offered hands-on fun. Students also:
- Sorted, matched and created with animal-themed activities,
- Built with animal Magna-Tiles,
- Constructed houses designed to withstand hurricane-force winds,
- Crafted paper plate animals, mosaics and sticker faces,
- Investigated animal X-rays and fossils,
- Used math to explore animal habitats,
- Relaxed with sensory sand habitats and more!
Every student went home with an animal mask, a prize of their choice and plenty of pizza and refreshments.
It was an educational, creative and wildly fun evening for students, families and staff alike. We can’t wait for our next STEM Night in February!
