We are excited to celebrate our Q3 Honor Roll recipients this Wednesday (May 6) at 8:30 a.m. In our ongoing commitment to enhance safety for everyone in our school community, all parents and guardians will be required to check in through our online security screening system called Raptor and provide acceptable ID to be scanned. This process should move quickly, however, we recommend that visitors arrive a few minutes early and have valid ID ready. Doors will open at 8:05 a.m. Additionally, we have a system that allows you to sign up to attend events in advance and pass through security lines more quickly. EventSafe allows registrants to use the Raptor Safe app to create profiles, verify their identity and store tickets. Once at school, guests can use the app QR code for quick check-in while being screened for safety. Parents and guests are encouraged to register for EventSafe. 3rd Quarter Hackett Honor Roll Ceremony. The link will take you to the event registration page. Fill out the form and click finish. After submitting, you will receive a text message and an email to join our RaptorSafe mobile app. Follow the steps to verify your identity and accept the invitation to the Honor Roll event. You will then be able to access your event ticket in the My Events section of the app. When you arrive for the Honor Roll Ceremony, open your ticket QR code and a member of the Hackett security team will scan your code.
This week is Teacher and Nurse Appreciation Week. We pause to honor the incredible dedication, compassion and commitment each of our teaching and nursing staff brings to our school community!
This month's PTA meeting has been canceled. The final PTA meeting for the 2025-26 school year will be held on Wednesday, June 3.
The NYSESLAT Listening, Reading, Writing Test begins today and runs through May 7. Make-up testing for the NYS ELA and Math assessments continues this week.
This Friday's Fun Day theme is 'Sports Day'. We hope students will come to school dressed like their favorite sport.
If your student-athlete is on the modified track team, Albany High School's Booster Club needs your help! Concession stand sign-ups are open for two upcoming modified track meets at AHS (Thursday, April 30 and Thursday, May 21). Even if your child is not on the track team, this is a GREAT way to get involved at Albany High School - the Booster Club supports extra-curriculars from music and theater, sports and clubs, art and JROTC and more! Please note that to sign up for a volunteer slot you do have to make an account but you do not have to become a sponsor.
