SchoolMessenger

SchoolMessenger provides options for parents and guardians, employees and community members to receive news and updates for routine school and district level communications, along with weather-related and other emergency updates. We also use SchoolMessenger to connect with parents and guardians for automated attendance calls. 

As long as we have current contact information on file, parents and guardians are automatically enrolled to receive these updates from the school or schools their children attend.

Closings and delays

Information on closings and delays will always be available here on our website in the form of an alert at the top of the page. Information will also be posted on our district Facebook page, and sent out via SchoolMessenger, so make sure your contact info is up to date!

You can also find information from the Times Union, along with local TV and radio stations. 

Photo/media release

The City School District of Albany makes a concerted effort to promote the positive activities, honors and work of our employees and students. District publications and marketing materials, our website and the media may be utilized as tools for such promotion. There may be opportunities where students will be photographed and identified by name and classroom or school. However, we understand that some parents may request that we do not identify their children.
